Over the last three months, I’ve had the chance to learn a lot during my internship with Webspinups. Leslie, my mentor, has been my biggest inspiration in the tech world. She’s taught me almost everything I know about tech and is the reason my website looks as professional as it does.
One big lesson I’ve learned is that in tech, you’re always looking for new ways to solve problems, and that means constantly learning. It can be overwhelming sometimes, but it feels really rewarding when you finish the job.
I also want to thank Mr. Wood for making this whole opportunity possible. At the start of the internship, he was very clear about meeting the expectations for every intern and wanted everyone to get as much out of it as they could.
I was eager to learn about the back end of websites from the beginning. Originally, my internship was supposed to be through OBU, but things didn’t go as expected for either my mentor or me. That eventually led to me having meetings with Leslie at Webspinups, which turned out to be the best route possible.
